July Happenings

For the winter and spring we have kept our shows mostly centred in Charlottetown as we kicked off our Amanda Jackson Band & Friends Concert Series at the Haviland Club.  July will see us trekking about to bring the show to different parts of the Island!

First up, we'll be in Breadalbane at The Dunk's Fiddlehead Social on the afternoon of Sunday, July 19th with the full band.  We'll be on stage around 4:00pm and the day features an awesome lineup!

On July 25th, Souris Live Inc. will be hosting us on "The Centre Stage" (formerly St. James United Church in Souris).  We can't wait to head back to the beautiful town of Souris!

Poole's Corner will be our final destination in July as we perform as the trio at the "Close to the Ground with Fiddlers' Sons" Concert Series on Thursday, July 30th, 8:00pm at the Kaylee Hall.

Summer is Almost Here!

We're heading back to one of our very favourite venues on Saturday, June 27th and we're bringing the whole gang!  The stage will be cozy but we wouldn't have it any other way! We were working on some new songs last night including a brand new original song, something familiar and a new twist on an old favourite!  Be sure to make your reservations and buy your tickets soon as the Trailside CafĂ© & Inn  is filling up quickly!  Click here for all of the details!

Change of Plans!

This post comes to you with some great news and some not so good news... Don't worry, there's still an amazing evening of music and entertainment coming your way in a few short hours at The Haviland Club!

The not so good news is that Kim Wempe has come down with an awful flu and will be unable to make the trek over from Nova Scotia today. We wish Kim a speedy recovery and we'll get to work to get her in as a guest as soon as we can! If she is well enough, you can still catch her at the Trailside Cafe & Inn tomorrow night!

The great news is that we are extremely honoured to welcome Andrew and Nikki Waite of one of the hottest new bands in the Maritimes, Andrew Waite & the Firm, to the stage tonight for a very special intimate accoustic duo performance!

Andrew Waite & the Firm is a PEI based gutsy roots-rock band. An acute collective of heavy-hitters, the group delivers a relentless performance with rich harmonies and explorative soundscapes. Waite’s songwriting is honest, rugged, and evocative. Burning Through the Night (EP), to be released Summer, 2015.

Grant Lawrence recently highlighted the band as a third round standout in the CBC Searchlight Contest saying "If The Band came from Charlottetown, they might sound a lot like Andrew Waite and the Firm, who create an organ-fueled classic rock sing-a-long that could easily have audiences on a national scale swaying back and forth to this chorus. And hey, there's even a sax solo!!"
